Nursing Assistant Training Program

We are a non-academic ONLINE Learning service provider offering flexible Nursing Assistant Training Program (NATP) courses accredited by the State of Washington focused on coaching competency, compliance, and communication. This live or self-paced 140-Hour course will prepare students to sit for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) Exam.

Beginning in 2023, the Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission developed of a common curriculum for nursing assistant training programs. The goal is to reduce variability across training programs, support improved pass rates, integrate Specialty Training classes on the topics of developmental disabilities, mental health, and dementia; and provide a pathway for seamless educational and career progression into nursing. NSS is happy to be one of the first programs to offer this holistic, person-centered care curriculum framework.

The previous curriculum required additional specialty units developed by the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). As of 2023, the three specialty units will be added to the curriculum on the topics of developmental disabilities, mental health, and dementia.

Together, the 2023 Nursing Assistant Training Program totals 140 Hours and Includes:

Our highly interactive system is engaging and will ensure you learn the material necessary to pass the national exam to become certified. Student interaction is required to progress in the course. Graduates are qualified to sit for professional licensing exams and are prepared to work in homes, transitional care units, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare settings. In addition, upon graduation, students will have access to the resources of the staffing firm for job placement.
